Description
Beautiful glowing trees lit up during a misty night from a single sodium orange streetlight behind. Autumn leaves falling on the ground with dark shadows.
Not many of these lights around anymore in the UK. Apparently it was a cheap way of lighting an area but studies have shown its not the most effective light for drivers. Now with efficient LED lighting, most of the sodium lights have been replaced. Personally I preferred the orange lights, the new white ones are a bit too bright and you cant tell when car headlights are coming so easily, but thats progress.

Lovely soft light. What's the orange light source?

Hi Lynda, Thank you. It is an old sodium streetlight. Not many around these days. The heavy fog gave it the surreal glow.
