Artist's Description

Stunning detailed blue tit wild bird eating inside a red apple. Close up on an spring day with out of focus background. Cyanistes caeruleus garden bird.
To get a really close up detailed shot of this bluetit eating an apple took a while, I set it up in my garden which meant I could have all the time I needed. As the camera was pretty close, even at 400mm, it took a bit of time for the birds to get used to it.
This image won a 'Commended' award in the international RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) photography competition 2018
